2 cups water
1-1/2 cups sugar
1/3 cup lime or lemon juice
1 teaspoon anise extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 peeled and sectioned oranges
3 peeled sliced kiwifruit
2 peeled and sectioned grapefruit
2 large apples, cubed
2 cups sliced strawberries
4 cups green grapes
1 20 ounce can pineapple chunks
In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, lime juice, anise and salt. Bring to a boil and cook for 20 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from the heat; cover and refrigerate overnight. Drain pineapple and prepare other fruits by cutting into bite sized pieces.
Combine fruit in a large bowl; add dressing and toss until coated. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours.
